Abbé Saint Real (1639-1692) account of the Duchess Mazarine was very popular. A Second edition was printed in the same year. It is thought to be written by the Duchess herself. Eighteenth-century sheep, skillfully repaired, some rubbing to corners, some marginal browning from turn-ins to prelims and terminal leaves, lower board attached by one thread only, foot of spine chipped.
