This group of precise " Poems on Victorian Themes with Psychological Implications" is illustrated with 3 double page linocuts finely composed and printed with a modulation of colours which suit their Victorian death themes. Another, embematic, appears as frontispiece and spreads towards the title. They achieve effects of dim snow among the mourners, for example, and sea to which the sailor tumbles from his yard-arm. A fifth block was used to good effect on the paper boards. Text set in Bodoni and Bodoni Ultra Bold Italic, title page in French Antique ( metal and wood letter), Figaro, and Rockwell Bold. 90 copies printed in black (the title page in black and turquoise blue; the press mark in brown; the prints in various colors on Hodgkinson's and Japanese Mingei handmade papers. Text printed by John Craig at the Ten Bells Press on a Phoenix treadle platen press; the prints at the Gogmagog press on an adapted office copying press. Gogmagog Press Bibliography Number 29, p.155.
