There is a debossed black star on the rear panel and a printed one on the jacket at the same place over it (apparently indicating a copy destined for the library trade). (NB! This is NOT an ex-library copy!). First Edition. Small 4to boards & cloth, ca. 8.25"x10.25". Original dj price is 10.95, and "reinforced binding" is indicated at bottom of the front inner flap. First Edition / First Printing. Very fine in a fine, unclipped dj with only a tiny closed tear bottom front panel. The jacket has both the gold Newbery Award Medal sticker and the silver Caldecott Honor stickers on the front panel.
