Vols 1-27 in black cloth with gold lettering on spine, vol. 32 in green cloth with gold lettering on front boards, vols. 37-45, 48- 56, 58 & 61 in grey cloth with black lettering on spine, vols 46-47 are part of a special 2 part jubilee volume in blue cloth with gold lettering on spine, and vols 28-31 & 33-36 are in the original printed wrappers. This publication is the annual journal recording the papers and speeches presented at the meetings of the Academy, on a range topics from Jewish History and culture to philosophy and theology. The organization "represents the oldest organization of Judaic scholars in North America" and is one of the most notable organizations for Jewish studies. Three distinguished presidents and contributors to the Academy have included Louis Ginzberg, Henry Wolfson and Salo Baron. Stamp of Salo Baron, the previous owner on some inside front covers, front free end papers and title pages of the earlier volumes. Light edge wear to some bindings, including scratches and bumps to corners, and some minor staining along edges of a few vols.
