Photographs by Veazie Wilson, oblong 5 x 7", patterned boards, red cloth spine, black spine with gilt lettering, 96pp. Ex-library, circulating library check-out paper affixed to free front endpaper (book was last checked in on July 1918), covers are well worn, rubbed, cloth has water staining, front inner hinge cracked, ink name stamps, couple of pages with margin tears, contents have light staining, wrinkled pages. The two ink stamps are both "Joseph A. Sadony Valley Of The Pines Montague". Joseph A. Sadony was a man of many skills and talents, he worked for Theodore Roosevelt examining conditions on Indian reservations, was a scientist, philosopher, inventor and holder of many patents. He corresponded with Admiral Byrd, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Tagor, Rudyard Kipling, King George VI of England, King Gustav V of Sweden plus others. Sadony bought 80 acres on White Lake in Michigan where he lived and where he established his Educational Research Laboratories and conducted his scientific work. Very SCARCE book with great association. FIRST EDITION.
