First edition, bound from the parts , with one of the original pictorial yellow paper wrappers bound in each volume, and a few stab holes visible. Charles Plumptre Johnson (1853-1938) published two books about Thackeray: The Early Writings of William Makepeace Thackeray and Hints to Collectors of the Original Editions of the Works of William Makepeace Thackeray.
