Artemis, a publisher's Uncorrected Proof / Advance Reader's Copy, signed by the author

Price: 150.00 USD

New York: Crown, 2017. This is a signed Uncorrected Proof Advance Reader's Copy of the author's second published novel. Condition is immaculate, as-new and unread. Weir signed in black felt tip on the title page directly below the printed designation "UNCORRECTED PROOF". Artemis is a story of mystery and intrigue in the first and only city on the moon, propelled with the same speed of action and hard science fiction sensibility that characterized Weir's The Martian. Artemis, the titular lunar city, is as much a developed character as is Weir's young female protagonist. Speculative fiction author Andy Weir (b. 1972) was a software engineer until the success of his first published novel, The Martian (self-published in 2011, re-released by Crown in 2014). The Martian won Weir the 2016 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer and was made into a 2015 feature film directed by Ridley Scott and staring Matt Damon. Like The Martian, Artemis is already slated to become the basis for a feature film. Uncorrected Proof / Advance Reader's Copy.
