The mounted plates are interleaved with blanks. Cont. 1/2 green morocco, gilt (spine faded to brown), over marbled boards, corners & extremities of spine rubbed. T.e.g. Plates with occasional (mostly light) foxing. Recent gift inscription on front free endpaper. Lewis (1782-1871) accompanied Thomas Frognall Dibdin and originally drew these sketches for Dibdin's "A Biographical, Antiquarian and Picturesque Tour in France and Germany," but they were not included in its publication. First edition. Very Good.
