Portrait photograph of American stage actress Isabel Irving [1871-1944] in the play "The Crisis".  leaves. Illustrated throughout with local advertisements. Synopsis and cast of characters for The Cardinal by Louis N. Parker, which appeared the week of September 28, 1903 at Toronto's Grand Opera House, starring Edwin Holt [1863-1905]. The program also announces the 'return engagement of Toronto's favourite actress Iabel Irving, in James K. Hackett's production of Winston Churchill's famous play, The Crisis' the week of October 5th. Pages lightly browned. Small triangle shape chip to front cover and second leaf, affecting some text. Small chips to outer edges of leaves. Small tear to lower joint. Otherwise a good copy. Ambrose Small [1867-1919?] was the manager of the Grand Toronto Opera House on Adelaide St., and owned numerous other theatres across Ontario, including Kingston and London. During the winter of 1919, Small disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and was never seen again. Good.
