Original SIGNED Letter with Initialed Envelope by Wilde to Mrs. Singleton

Price: 7,500.00 USD

United KIngdom: Privately Printed, 1883. Framed under glass is an original ten line handwritten letter from playwright Oscar Wilde to Mrs. Singleton (aka author Violet Fane, later Lady Currie - mentioned at same parties at Whistler's house amongst others as early as 1883). Written on Wilde's personal letterhead with his home address on it. Comes with the orignal hand-addressed envelope and "signed" by him with his "W" flourish. Some matte burn around the edges else still bright and legible. Wilde correspondence is quite rare in the secondary market and is even more attractive having come from his own stationary and with the original mailing envelope. Both the letter and envelope are matted and framed. Not Published. Very Good.
